Wow! We haven't even hit December and the snow is already piling up here in Sioux Falls. Many of you know, but here's a reminder. We continue to be under a Winter Storm Warning.  According to KDLT.com:

Snowfall totals continue to look quite high - but the deepest snow will more likely be found in southwestern MN and northwestern Iowa with locations picking up to a foot of snow through Wednesday morning.  Much of eastern South Dakota will see 6" or more of snow accumulation

Many area schools dismissed early today. Sioux Falls Public and Sioux Falls Catholic Schools cancelled evening activities and games. Also the University Center will be closing at 7:00 PM.

Also, many area towns are under snow alerts. You know the drill. Get your cars off the street, shovel the drive and walk, get some bread and milk on the way home and keep warm and safe!

As of 3:00 PM Todd Heitkamp of the National Weather Service says the airport is reporting 6 inches of new snow!

Here's a tweet from SD Highway Patrol.

A lot of roads in South Dakota will be snow-packed and slippery on your way home tonight. Visit @SDClearPath511 for more information.

According to Argus 911

SNOW ALERT: The city of Sioux Falls has issued a snow alert. Plowing to begin after 1:00 AM Tuesday.
