If you knew someone coming to South Dakota for the first time, what is the ONE thing you would tell them they HAVE to do? The most popular answer might surprise you.

The Huffington Post has published a poll asking that very same question. You would think Mount Rushmore, the Badlands or Black Hills National Forest might end up at the top of the list. How about the state capitol in Pierre? Terry Redlin Museum? Falls Park? Crazy Horse or Custer State Park? Nope. It's the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

For neighboring states, they recommend the "Butter Cow" at the Iowa State Fair (really), taking a canoe trip in the Boundary Waters in Minnesota (beautiful up there!) They also recommend throwing horseshoes at Popcorn Days in North Loup in Nebraska and "Climb White Butte near Amidon, North Dakota.

So let's hear from you. You have a visitor coming to South Dakota who has never been here before. What is the ONE place you're going to tell them to visit?
