In the early 21st century when someone has a question they turn to Google for the answer. Even when parents are deciding on the name for a new baby they use Google in their quest for the perfect name.

Time magazine reports that Google says the top three baby names in the United States for girls are Elizabeth, Olivia and Emma, and for boys are Michael, James and Avery. Google figured this out by using data from searches for “meaning of” and “common baby names” made between March of 2014 and March of 2015.

Breaking the data down by state the top baby name searches in Iowa were Levi for boys and Killian for girls. In Minnesota it was Lydia for girls and Liam for boys. In South Dakota the top girls name search was Ramia and for boys it was Ahmed.
