Weekend Accident Injures Ringling Bros. Performers. Clowns No Longer the Scariest Thing at Circus

The crowd at a Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus was horrified Sunday when an apparatus holding performers failed Sunday in Providence, Rhode Island. Eight performers were hanging by their hair fell when the they plunged about 30 feet to the ground below, also injuring a ground performer.
The acrobats were performing the "Human Chandelier Act" when the main frame came loose.
