Amanda Watkins is one example of how WE Fest 2016 mixes the hottest acts and the most up-and-coming talent in country music for three solid days of fun, sun and country music.

Watkins was one-half of the duo Miss Willie Brown, and after they dissolved in 2013 she set out to pursue a songwriting career. She is a noted songwriter with a Big & Rich cut under her belt, and she’s also graced the stage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and toured with Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Jamey Johnson, Frankie Ballard, Martina McBride and more.

In 2015 she released “If I Was Over You,” a duet with Johnson, and she’ll have that and more new solo music to perform when she takes the stage at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minn. on Thursday (Aug. 4) to help kick off the three-day country music and camping festival, which is one of the largest of its kind in the country. LoCash, Lee Brice and Joe Nichols will also perform before headliner Eric Church hits the stage to close out the first night of WE Fest 2016.

Kid Rock and Tim McGraw are set to headline the other two nights of the festival, which is marking its 35th year in 2016 with one of the most incredible lineups in the entire history of WE Fest.
