Want to Dine at One of the Top Steakhouses in the Country? Head to Iowa
If you want to dine at one of America's best steakhouses, you don't have to travel to New York, Chicago or L.A. Nope, you can find one in LeMars, Iowa.
PureWow, a women's lifestyle destination website, had named Archie's Waeside as one of "The 10 Best Damn Steakhouses in the Entire Country." Founded in 1949, Archie's features 12 cuts of dry-aged beef, sourced from farms in northwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska as well as seafood and a large selection of Napa Valley wine.
Last year, Archie's Waeside was chosen to receive the James Beard Foundation's America's Classic Award -- the food world's equivalent of the Hall of Fame and in 2014, their vast wine selection was a semi-finalist as well.
So next time you have a craving for a really good steak, hop into your car and take the short hour and a half drive to LeMars, Iowa.
