Every Halloween we drag out 'The Monster Mash' by Robert "Boris" Pickett and crank it up.

I never really know that much about Bobby & this song.  So I dug up this info.  Robert George Pickett (February 11, 1938 – April 25, 2007) was and actor co-wrote 'Monster Mash' with Leonard Capizzi in May 1962.

The song was a spoof on the dance crazes popular at the time, including the Twist and the Mashed Potato, which inspired the title.

'Monster Mash' went to #1 on the Billboard charts for 2 weeks in 1962 and sold over a million copies.  That's 'records' for those of you who remember those.

He released other songs such as: 'Monster's Holiday', 'Blood Bank Blues', 'Werewolf Watusi', 'The Monster Swim', 'Me & My Mummy', and others.  They were not nearly as well received.
