Police Captain Greg VandeKamp says she was killed shortly before noon Wednesday when her bicycle was struck by an SUV that was coming out of a parking lot and turning west in the 2600 block of West 49th Street:

VandeKamp says Adams died at the scene. He identified the driver of the 2011 Ford Explorer as 26-year-old Terra Zahn of Sioux Falls.
