Sioux Falls experienced a rash of BB gun vandalism over the weekend.

40 separate reports of vandalism involving BB guns was reported throughout the city from Friday, February 26 through Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Police still do not have an exact time line for when the incidents took place, or how many people were involved, but several car and home windows suffered BB and pellet gun damage.

The majority of the damage estimates ranged between $200 to $1000. One Sioux Falls home in the 500 block of East 21st Street, reportedly had three large windows that were broken, damage totals from that home were estimated at nearly $10,000.

According to Sioux Falls police spokesman Sam Clemens, "We're just looking for any type of information that people have." Police are asking citizens to report the description or license plate numbers from any strange vehicles they may have seen in the neighborhoods affected.
