A couple of high profile games highlight USD's upcoming trip to Cancun over Thanksgiving. The field is set for the Cancun Challenge.

USD has three games scheduled for the Cancun Challenge from November 23-25. Teams such as Arizona State, Green Bay, Mississippi State, and Marquette will also be on hand, but they won't be playing against USD.

The teams that the South Dakota women did draw have some pretty good history attached to them, and all three will be first time ever meetings.

On day one of the Cancun Challenge, USD will play Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls went 17-15 last season and are also past winners of the WNIT in 2012. They lost in the first round of the WNIT this past season.

Indiana State out of the Missouri Valley Conference will line up against USD on day two. The Sycamores finished 12-18 last season, and that included two losses against Summit League opponents Omaha and IUPUI.

The final day of the challenge will feature a game against a powerhouse in women's basketball. USD will take on Tennessee in the nightcap on Saturday, November 25. Tennessee has won eight NCAA Championships in their school history, and they recently appeared in the NCAA Tournament last season after a 20-12 overall record.

All games will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

South Dakota went 23-9 last season.
