Teen Dies in Collision Friday Night [VIDEO]

Sioux Falls Police Lieu. Jerome Miller says 19-year-old Edward L. Elsberry of Valley Springs was killed in a fatal head-on crash Friday evening in Eastern Sioux Falls.

According to Miller, Elsberry was driving a 1987 Honda Civic on Highway 11 when he crossed over into the oncoming lane and collided with a Pontiac Bonneville that was north bound on Highway 11.

The driver of the Pontiac, 55-year-old Michael Rock of Canton, and his wife were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Miller says they do not know what caused Elsberry to go on the other side of the road and hit the other vehicle head on. Witnesses say Elsberry was on the far right hand lane going to make a right hand turn to go west onto 18th Street and suddenly swerved to the left and went into the incoming traffic.
