Busted! That's what two Sioux Falls convenience stores are saying today after the most recent round of alcohol compliance checks from Sioux Falls Police.

KDLT News is reporting 25 of the 27 establishments checked in the Northeast area of Sioux Falls for off-sale alcohol sales passed the compliance check on Wednesday (April 26). However, two were not so lucky.

Busted were the Pump ‘N Pak located on 3700 North Potsdam Avenue and Cubby’s North on North Cliff Avenue.

According to KDLT News, the clerk on duty at each location sold alcohol to a person under the age of 21. Both store employees were issued a summons with a mandatory court appearance.

Every business that fails an alcohol compliance check is also subject to fines and/or suspension of their alcohol license.

Sioux Falls Police will be back at it soon. According to authorities, random compliance checks will continue to be conducted in the future.
