It's too early to tell if there was any environmental damage when a train carrying ethanol derailed between the towns of Scotland and Lesterville, SD Saturday afternoon.

Severn tanker cars of the 98 derailed and at least one caught fire in the bordering corn fields - with 3 tankers reportedly losing their ethanol.

According to Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, no one was hurt.

Officials aren't yet sure what caused the derailment over a small bridge that spans a dry creek.

Firefighters from Scotland, Lesterville, Menno, Tyndall and Tabor responded to the blaze and officials shut down one rural road leading to the scene.
