Every Wednesday night in June is track meet night for all ages at Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls.

If you want to have some real fun with a child, this is an event to go to. My wife and I took our little boy to it in 2015 when he was five years old.

He competed against other children of the same age in running events and field events. What a great experience for him and it was fun.

Hundreds of families attend with children in competition. It's very well run and all the kids are in specific age groups with parents right down on the field with them. Boys compete against boys and girls compete against girls.

Many people enjoy watching from the grandstand. There's an announcer giving easy to understand instructions of where to be for each event.

The official start of the meet is initiated by a national anthem. And there are concessions available.

We wouldn't miss it. It's put on by the City Of Sioux Falls Parks And Recreation. See the times and schedules.
