As long as there have been radio stations and ways to communicate with people playing music, people have been requesting songs.

There are many reasons for a radio station song request, it might be a birthday request, a song requested in memory of someone special, or just something your in the mood to hear in the moment.

In Amanda's case she called in looking for help to find the perfect song for her Father Daughter Dance for her wedding coming up in September.

Instead of taking a wild stab at it, we decided to open up suggestions on our Facebook.

Here are the top suggestions and of course Amanda's final selection:

7.) Chuck Wicks, Stealing Cinderella

6.) Steven Chapman, Cinderella

5.) Gary Allen, Tough Little Boys

4.) Holly Dunn, Daddy's Hands

Number 3.) and 2.) We had a tie for second place both Tim Mcgraw's My Little Girl and Butterfly Kisses came in with the same number of votes.

In searching for the best version of Butterfly Kisses I stumbled upon this one(you might need a Kleenex)

1.) Heartland's, I Loved Her First

The song Amanda chose was not one voted into the top 7, but it's one that received some votes and spoke directly to what she was looking for when she will dance with her dad this September.

Amanda chose: Krystal Keith - Daddy Dance With Me
