If you're traveling anywhere this summer, make sure to check the air pressure in your tires. Travel experts say having the right air pressure in your tires can save you not only money on gas, but also tire replacement costs.

"The most important thing you can do to take care of your tires is to maintain the propert inflation pressure," said Dan Zielinski, Rubber Manufacturers Association senior vice president.

This is especially important during the summer.

"When you combine the heat of outside with the heat that builds up with under-inflated tires you are raising the risk of a profile of a potential failure," added  Zielinski.
