This Weekend in the Sioux Empire
Welcome to the weekend! Sounds like we can expect a run in with Old Man Winter by Sunday. Luckily there is a bunch of fun indoor activities to do all weekend. Here are a few:
- WINTERFEST OF WHEELS INDOOR CAR SHOW…Friday through Sunday at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Featuring rarely seen collector cars, national winners and title holders, vehicles featured in magazines and on TV and more! Meet special celebrity guest, Frank Fritz from “American Pickers” on Saturday from 1-4pm and 7-9pm. Ladies, check out the “Ditch Your Man Room” featuring several vendors. Hours are 5-10pm on Friday, 10am-9pm Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. All profits benefit Cure Kids Cancer.
- The Dakota Territory Gun Show this Saturday and Sunday at the Ramkota Inn Convention Center in Sioux Falls. Gun owners this is the Trophy Show the Big One!
- 2ND ANNUAL Wii BOWLING TOURNAMENT…Saturday at the Armory Building at the Fairgrounds. $1,000 in cash and prizes to be given away. Proceeds will benefit the Sioux Empire Safety Village. Entry fee is $80 per team of 4.
- VALENTINE’S FOR VETERANS CONCERT…Saturday at 3pm at the Washington Pavilion. Featuring country music artist, James Wesley. Tickets for veterans are free but you must reserve them today. There will also be veteran’s benefits fair before the event.
- DECADENCE IN CHOCOALTE FUNDRAISER…Saturday at 7pm at the Mufti-Cultural Center. A formal event with wine tasting, chocolate indulgences, a silent auction, gifts, classical music, dancing and more. Proceeds benefit the Festival of Cultures.
