Here's a look at the week's top stories and what had people around Sioux Falls talking:

Police say a driver who caused a seven-vehicle crash in Sioux Falls may have been driving as fast as 100 mph. One person died and six people were injured in the crash that happened just before noon on Thursday.  The Blazer, driven by Troy Hohn, 32, of Sioux Falls was pronouced dead at the scene. The Chevrolet then rear-ended a Dodge Durango and created a domino-effect series of collisions. There were no skid marks in the area where the Blazer hit the Durango.

Nearly 1,000 people have been injured after a meteor exploded in the atmosphere Friday over Russia's Ural Mountains with the power of an atomic bomb. Today's definition of irony: A daily customer and unofficial mascot for the Heart Attack Grill, a Las Vegas diner infamous for its calorie-laden menu and waitresses in nurse garb, has died. 52-year-old John Alleman died Monday as he waited at a bus stop in front of the Fremont Street restaurant. He died of a heart attack.
