Here's an idea for a bucket list. Travel from coast to coast across the United States.

Let's spice things up a little bit. Make plans to stop at the top ten landmarks.

Next we must determine what they are. This time we turned to Trip Advisor for answers.

They tell us that the number one landmark is Alcatraz, the former high-security prison located on an island in San Francisco Bay. Often called "The Rock," the island is only accessible by boat.

The tour of the penitentiary includes the prison's main cell house, dining hall, library, warden's house and officers' club, recreation yard and more. Alcatraz housed some 1,576 of America's most ruthless criminals.

Among them were Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelly, Arthur R. "Doc" Barker and Alvin "Creepy" Karpis, who served more time at Alcatraz than any other inmate.
