‘The Shining’ Video Game
Just in time for Halloween, it’s the Stephen King movie ‘The Shining’ as a video game. People can thank a group called CineFix for converting a favorite horror film into a classic video game complete with character changes, weapons and a sweet soundtrack.
CineFix is a group made up of filmmakers, writers, directors and animators with a goal of entertaining and inspiring people.
Just like the movie, ‘The Shining’ video game takes place in the Overlook Hotel and has all the important characters. Jack Torrence (‘Heeeerrrreeee’sssss Johnny!’) and his typewriter, the meek Wendy Torrence and little Danny Torrence pedaling his way through the halls of the Hotel looking for twin girls to play with and watching for words written backwards (REDRUM). Even Grady makes an appearance to try to convince Jack to ‘correct’ his family.
Even though this video game probably won’t be released on a New Stuff Tuesday, the folks at CineFix capture ‘The Shining’ in the form of a video game perfectly. Just one word of advice: even though ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A DULL BOY, stay OUT of Room 237!
