There is nothing more connected with the phrase 'country music' than the Grand Ole Opry. It is the Mother Church Of Country Music.

And now the Grand Old Lady is celebrating her 90th birthday...and in a big way!

The Grand Ole Opry will celebrate its 90th birthday on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 with a weekend full of Opry shows that will feature several very special guests. Some of the acts slated to take the Opry stage during the celebration's first night (10/2) will be Little Big Town, Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers, Joe Diffie, Lorrie Morgan and Old Crow Medicine Show, followed by Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Charles Esten and The Oak Ridge Boys on the second night (10/3). The Oak Ridge Boys will also be on hand to perform during a special afternoon Opry Birthday Concert on October 3 at the Grand Ole Opry House.

The birthday bash will also include free festivities located on the Plaza in front of the Opry House throughout the weekend. The Opry Plaza Parties will include plenty of food, fun, and a free music, with JT Hodges scheduled to take the stage Friday evening. The stars of ABC's Nashville will also salute the Opry, with Esten, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack, and Aubrey Peeples all set to give Plaza performances.
