The Good Old Days
On a day that many call “Throwback Thursday”, a friend of mine sent me a link to a video that pretty much sums up about 90% of my life growing up in a small town. I decided to take time out of my day, watch the video and remember what it was like to grow up with my friends Lynnette, Sherri and Leroy in Houghton, South Dakota! I was so inspired, I even found a picture of me (in the beautiful red head scarf!), my sister, my mom and my dad from the year…..(I’m not going to tell you THAT)…to help set the mood. (Oh, and my mom is going to KILL me for posting this picture!)
Set to the 1985 number one hit from Ronnie Milsap, ‘Lost In The Fifties Tonight (In The Still Of The Night)’, go back to ‘The Good Old Days’ when parents simply yelled from the front porch that it was time to come home, but only after playing ‘Red Light, Green Light’, ‘Captain, May I’, and kickball or dodgeball until the third set of street lights came on.
On “Throwback Thursday”, take five minutes out of your day and remember where you came from, friends (before FACEBOOK) and some of the best times of YOUR life! Hope you laugh as much as I did….
