Tea Teen Racing In Tennessee
Even though she just received her restricted drivers permit, 14-year-old Reanna Lardy from Tea, South Dakota will be representing Thunder Valley Dragways in Marion, South Dakota for a chance at a World Championship at the 2013 IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Super Series at Memphis International Raceway on October 11th and 12th.
With drivers from all over the United States and Aruba, the freshman from Tea Area High School was chosen as a wild card participant for the Summit World Finals. Reanna will be driving her junior dragster, which is a half-scale model of a full-sized dragster. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the speed. It takes Reanna 7.90 seconds to go an eighth of a mile, which means she can reach speeds up to 85 miles an hour.
If she drives her way to a world championship, she will receive prizes that include a brand new Junior Dragster courtesy of Vic Puglia Race Cars, a family vacation package and cash.
Reanna has an older brother, Wyatt, who also races. She is the daughter of Wade and Terri Lardy of Tea, South Dakota.
