When Trav told me he was going to be taking a vacation day on Monday, June 1, 2015, I went to JD Collins and asked him if he was interested in filling in. He was pretty excited and said, "I would love to be Trav for a day!"

Then JD had an idea. He threw out something to me that, at first, I thought was pretty silly. He called it the Five Picture Challenge.

When I asked him what that was, he told me to randomly take five pictures of what happened during my weekend and then show them off. Honestly, the first thing I thought was "my weekends aren't usually that exciting, but okay, I'll do it for JD."

So, for JD and something that he is now calling the Five Picture Challenge, here was my weekend in five pictures!

Ok, I admit, it wasn't a very thrilling weekend, but after reviewing the pictures, the Five Picture Challenge reminds me that I did make some pretty good memories.

Consider this my challenge to YOU to take the Five Picture Challenge and share with your friends!

Sun is Shining, Let's Paint the Toes

Even though Saturday morning was a bit cool, sitting on our deck with the sun shining made me want to put a new coat of nail polish on my toes! And with a trip to the lake planned, it just makes sense. Hopefully it will stay nice enough all week that I can actually wear sandals to show them off!

My Husband Loves the Route 44

Before we left for my parent's cabin on Clear Lake (just west of Sisseton, South Dakota) my husband, Steve wanted to stop at Sonic. He ordered something with pineapple in it, which (of course) stuck together at the bottom of his glass. I believe we pulled over on an exit just north of Watertown so he could get the fruit from the bottom of the cup. And when you order a Route 44 size, the chances of your cup being taller then the roof of your car are pretty great. Steve actually had to open the car door and tip his head out the open door to get to the bottom of things!

    My Favorite Place To Be

After finally making it to the cabin, the first thing I always do is walk right down to the dock. So calm--so peaceful. My favorite place to be.

    Yup, The Bass Were Biting

My husband loves to fish, and lucky for him they were really biting. He caught quite a few crappies, perch, a couple pretty good sized northerns - but was most proud of this bass. Yes, we released it after the picture!

    We're Going To Eat That?

They taste good, but getting to the eating stage takes a little work! Nothing my dear-ole' dad can't handle, though!
