We had a "stupid dope" in Sioux Falls recently. No, not an idiotic troublemaker breaking bad and breaking laws. This "stupid dope" is StupidDope.com, a lifestyle website with news and videos on travel, fashion, art, sports, food & drinks, technology and more.

The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitor's Bureau recently hosted StupidDope.com videographer Richard Williams from Atlanta. He'll be producing over a dozen videos highlighting what they refer to as the "Edgy Millenial" side of Sioux Falls. Several of the videos are already up on their website.

I looked at the lineup of places included in that list and then began pondering the qualifier, "edgy millenial". It translates into, "daringly innovative people born in the U.S. from the early 1980's to late 1990's". And while I'm unsure if this refers to the owners/creators of the Sioux Falls businesses profiled in the videos or the primary patrons of the highlighted businesses, it's worth noting that this is another great kudo for our beautiful city!

I do however, plan on thinking of myself as a little more "hip, daring and tuned-in" the next time I dine at Parker's Bistro, drip salsa on myself while noshing lunch at Mama's Ladas, take in a show or event at the Washington Pavilion and sip Wine-y-ritas at Strawbale Winery! That's right, this chick's an "Edgy Boomer"! Make way!
