With kids being bombarded by media more than ever before, many parents worry that their kids are maturing too early. But according to a recent child development study done at San Diego State University, it's actually just the opposite.

Researchers found that over the last 40 years, American teens have become less likely to drink, date or have sex. Also fewer get jobs or even drive. And all that extra time, researchers say, isn't going toward homework, but the internet.

The lead author from the study says it's not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing, it's just a different culture today. But in terms of so-called adult activities, "18 year olds now look like 15 year olds once did."
