Store Employee Charged with Theft
Now, I'm not saying I'm the best person to give job advice, although I've been working continuously at the radio station since August 1976. But this has to be good advice:
Don't give store discounts when you aren't supposed to.
Sioux Falls police say a 17-year-old girl who was working for the Gordman's store allegedly gave some inappropriate discounts.
Officer Sam Clemens says the store had a promotion where the customer would get a scratch card that would show the amount of discount.
He says the teen let people scratch as many cards as they wanted until they got a discount of $50, and she allegedly used that one repeatedly, but he says a family member got a 90 percent discount.
The teenager is charged with theft-embezzlement, a misdemeanor, and the loss to the store was $780.
Now, imagine having something like that on your work record: "Could you tell us why you left your last job?"
