South Dakota State's men's basketball team will be part of the 2016 Sanford Pentagon Showcase in November.

The Jackrabbits will join the University of California - Irvine, East Tennessee State, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, at the event, November 25-27, 2016. The three-day event uses a round-robin format with two games each day.

All four teams won 20-plus games last season.

The Jackrabbits (26-8) shared the Summit League regular season title and won the conference's post season tournament. SDSU was eliminated by Maryland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Scott Nagy departed for Wright State during the off-season. He's been replaced by former Iowa State assistant T.J. Otzelberger.

UC Irvine (28-10) posted a school record for wins and captured a share of the Big West Conference title. The Anteaters were the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) runner-up last season.

East Tennessee State (24-12) made it to the Southern Conference Tournament title game a year ago before receiving a berth to the Vegas 16 postseason tournament.

UW - Milwaukee (20-13) finished fifth in the Horizon League, but the Panthers won at Wisconsin and Minnesota last December.
