The top two classes of football in South Dakota didn't feature much change this week, but 11A featured one team go from the top spot to out of the rankings.

11AAA
Class 11AAA didn't change much this week with everyone in the top five winning outside of Brandon Valley. The Lynx didn't get penalized in the rankings much as the lost to the top ranked Warriors. Four Sioux Falls schools remain in the top five.

Much like 11AAA, there wasn't a lot that changed for 11AA. Mitchell, Brookings, and Pierre remain ranked following losses last week. Yankton is still in the top spot, however Harrisburg received a couple more first-place votes compared to the one the received last week.

11A
The biggest change in the polls this week is in Class 11A. West Central was preseason ranked tied for first, and after suffering a 21-6 loss to Dakota Valley the Trojans have fell out of the top five. Madison now has a full grasp of the top spot in the rankings. St. Thomas More made the biggest jump of the week going from fifth ranked up to second.

11B remains for the most part unchanged heading into week 2 of the season. The only difference is for the fifth spot of the rankings at Sioux Valley was inched out in favor of Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan. Winner continues to be the unanimous top ranked team in the class.

Wolsey-Wessington, Canistota, and Webster Area continue to lead the rankings in 9AA, but the changes came in the last two spots. Chester Area has moved up one spot to fourth, while Bon Homme jumps into the last spot to round out the class.

Much like 9AA, 9A keeps the top three teams the same heading into Week 2. Potter County has moved up one spot for this week, and Phillip has made it in after receiving votes last week.

9B is pretty steady with all five teams that were ranked last week remaining in the top five. The only change is due to Colome losing to Corsica-Stickney 16-14 in week 1. Colome has dropped from fourth to fifth.
