South Dakota Loan Company Faces FTC, State Lawsuits
You've probably seen their commercials on local television, but now a South Dakota company operating from the Cheyenne River Indiana Reservation is being sued according to KELO-TV.
Western Sky Financial, which is owned by Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe member Martin "Butch" Webb, and offers high-interest signature loans faces lawsuits in Colorado, Missouri and Maryland, as well as the Federal Trade Commission.
The Federal Trade Commission has also filed a lawsuit saying Webb's companies on the reservation are engaging in unfair and deceptive credit practice and illegally garnishing wages.
