If you're a woman living in South Dakota, you're more than likely digging the Rushmore states flavor at the moment.

A personal finance site called WalletHub just finished analyzing all 50 states and the District of Columbia to determine a ranking for the best and worst states for women in the U.S.

Congrats South Dakota, you've come in at number 22!

That means women living in South Dakota are doing better than other women in more than half of the U.S.

The ranking is based on factors like wage, employment, education, among other things.

Ladies looking to relocate to the top spot in the nation for women won't have to travel far, Minnesota has earned that honor by scoring the highest in “Women’s Economic & Social Well-Being” and “Women’s Health Care” categories. The state of Arkansas fared the worst.

You can also give South Dakota a couple of gold stars for being the state with the second lowest unemployment rate for women.

However, we still have our work cut out when it comes to women-owned businesses. The state came in dead last in that category.
