The South Dakota High School Activities Association has released football classifications for 2017 and 2018 and some teams are on the move.

Class 11AAA and 11AA won't change over the next two seasons. Each class will keep nine teams in total.

Changes start in the 11A ranks where Little Wound and Tri-Valley will be moving from 11B to 11A. Canton and Sioux Falls Christian will move down into 11B. In total, Class 11A will keep 17 total teams.

The smaller classes of South Dakota football experience many changes. There are even a few schools that were 9-man teams that will be 11-man teams starting this fall. 9AA, 9A, and 9B have many of the schools shuffled from their previous classifications.

Here are the new classes for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Also included is where that team was previously placed. Teams that have moved have been bolded.
