Corn and soybean crop development in South Dakota is pacing ahead of average according to the Federal Agriculture Department.

In addition, South Dakota's small grains harvest is in its final stages. In the departments weekly report, 80% of the spring wheat is harvested along with 89% of the oats and 97% of the winter wheat.

Soil moisture in the state continues on a downward trend. The pasture and range conditions are being reported as mostly fair or good.
