A record setting season reaps a high honor for University of Sioux Falls defensive back Solomon St. Pierre.

The Cougars as a whole had an outstanding season and junior from Wagner was a key part.  The American Football Coaches Association named St. Pierre to the Division II All-America Team.

Along the way St. Pierre collected a single season school record 10 interceptions, which was tied for tops in Division II. In addition, the cornerback had the most interception return yards in the nation and tied for most interception touchdown returns, with two.

More awards may follow for St. Pierre as he is a nominee for the Cliff Harris Award for the top defensive player in Division II.  St. Pierre is Sioux Falls' first AFCA first-team All-American since the school made the transition to the Division II ranks in 2011.

St. Pierre also landed on the 2014 Don Hansen All-Super Region Team 3 first team.  USF was well represented on the second team as Junior cornerback John Tidwell of Aurora, CO, sophomore quarterback Luke Papilion of Denver, CO and sophomore offensive guard Antonio Green of Dublin, GA were honored.
