Small Dog With Big Courage
Meet Bradley the 4-pound dachshund. Bradley doesn’t look too threatening, but this little dog is being credited for saving the life of his owner, John Force, and his friends in Oscoda County, Michigan.
A group of friends were visiting John Force on a Saturday afternoon when they decided to take the golf cart on a ride in the woods. Bradley came along for the ride.
As the men drove on the trail, they were surprised to come across a 400 pound mama bear and her cubs. The mama bear began the stare down with the men, which means there is going to be trouble. That’s when the dachshund sprang into action.
After returning the stare, Bradley jumped from the golf cart and started to attack the mama bear. The 400-pound mama bear grabbed 4-pound Bradley and threw him. But Bradley wasn’t done. He attacked again, but this time the mama bear took Bradley into the woods with her. Eventually, Bradley got away from the bear and managed to make it back to the men on his own.
But Bradley’s wounds were too severe. This 4-pound hero, died an hour later.
Now Bradley’s collar hangs as a reminder to John that he even though he was tiny, Bradley was a loyal, scrappy friend doing what he loved to do….protect his master.
