In methodical fashion the Sioux Falls Skyforce dismantled the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 109-88 Tuesday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

With the victory, Sioux Falls (37-8) swept all six games with the Mad Ants (18-28) this season. It’s been a perfect month of March so far as the Skyforce have won eight straight.

Through the first three quarters the Skyforce got progressively better by extending the lead from 4 to 15 to 28 by maintaining at least a 50 percent shooting clip and holding the hosts under 40 percent. By the fourth period, cruise control was engaged and Fort Wayne outscored Sioux Falls 30-23.

It was a banner night for Keith Benson as he led the ‘Force with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Briante Weber returned from Memphis to flirt with a triple-double of 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Nine players scored at least 7 points for Sioux Falls.

Fort Wayne produced 6 players in double figures led by Terran Petteway and Shayne Whittington who each scored 16. C.J. Fair came through with 15 points and Michael Frazier added 13 counters off the bench.

Next on the Sioux Falls schedule is the final back-to-back set of the season with two in Delaware starting Friday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne is setting sail for Des Moines to face the Iowa Energy on Thursday.
