Consistent effort pushed the Sioux Falls Skyforce to a win over the Erie BayHawks 98-82 on Saturday night at Erie Insurance Arena.

Game two of the Skyforce (1-2) three-game road trip came against an Erie (0-3) squad that has struggled on the offensive end far this season. The BayHawks averaged 86 points over the first two games on 41 percent shooting coming into the contest.

Sioux Falls kept Erie below both those averages (82 points on 38 percent shooting) plus forced 18 turnovers on the night. All the while the ‘Force never trailed and steadily built an advantage after the game was tied at 29 early in the second quarter.

Greg Whittington picked up his second double double in three games this season and led the team in both scoring and rebounding with 30 points and 10 rebounds (with video evidence below). Both Keith Benson and Tre Kelley chipped in 13 points as all five Sioux Falls starters scored in twin figures.

Erie’s leader was Tyler Harvey who had 19 points and 6 rebounds plus 14 counters off the bench for Jordan Sibert. The BayHawks will wait one week for their next court appearance in Fort Wayne. Sioux Falls has one more for the road Wednesday night in Grand Rapids prior to Thanksgiving.
