Continuing their hot streak, the Skyforce put the clamps on Canton 99-94 for their second straight road win and fifth overall on Tuesday night.

Sioux Falls (12-3) solidifies their grip on top of the Central Division and also best record in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile Canton (5-11) resides at the bottom of the divisional stack.

For most of the game both teams played evenly. Each team had a double digit lead that dwindled. As so often happens, it’s when the lead the lead is too large and the counter attack is not sufficient for the time available.

Canton’s largest lead was 11 points and came early in the third quarter. The biggest spread for Sioux Falls was 12 with 1:34 to go. Undeterred, a Charge rally chopped the lead to four with 12.2 seconds remaining before one more Skyforce free throw provided the final margin.

Jarnell Stokes was nearly flawless in his 19 point, 7 rebound performance going 8-9 from the floor and 3-4 from the charity stripe which can be seen below. Next in line was Rodney McGruder by supplying 18 counters and reigning NBADL Performer of the week DeAndre Liggins filled the stat sheet yet again (17 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals).

For the Charge, Quinn Cook topped all scorers with 22 points, followed by C.J. Wilcox with 12. Sioux Falls had a huge rebounding advantage of 49-34 while Canton found a good stroke from long range (11-24).

Next for the Skyforce will be a trip north of the border to face the 905 Raptors on Thursday. Meanwhile Canton is hosting Oklahoma City on Saturday.
