SiouxperCon Celebrates Video Games, Anime, Comic Books and More

Sioux Falls has it's very own version of Comic Con: SiouxperCon is described as the "most anticipated nerd event."

Organizers say the event started on Facebook and and has grown to an event filling rooms and halls of the Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls to what can be standing room only at times.

Shane Gerlach, SiouxperCon Vice Chairman's statement describes the event:

SiouxperCon celebrates several mediums; comic books, cosplay, anime, board games, video games, pro wrestling science fiction and fantasy. A non-profit event, net proceeds from the convention benefit REACH Literacy and the JY6 Foundation.
Events include South Dakota's biggest Cosplay Contest, celebrity entertainment and Nerd Idol, numerous panels, the Siouxper Brawl video game tournament, vendors, local artists, comic book creators and artists, board games, Princess Tea Party, Pokémon tournament, and more!

SiouxperCon 2017 is Friday, May 12 through Sunday, May 14, 2017.  Tickets start at $10.

One of the largest Comic-Con conventions is the Comic Con International in San Diego, while others close by are the Wizard World Comic Con in Minneapolis and the O Comic Con!  in Omaha
