Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Sean Kooistra says a 17-year-old boy was robbed by three suspects on Wednesday around 9:00 PM

"The information that was provided by the victim was that he was walking down the street in the area of 14th Street and Minnesota Avenue. It does mention the Get-n-Go gas station," explained Kooistra. "As he was walking down the street, some subjects had yelled 'hey I like your chain' to him. The suspects subsequently approached the victim. They stole his necklace. While this was going on, the victim was punched. They did have a knife and threatened him with the knife. Not only did they take his chain, they also had taken his iPhone."

Kooistra provides this description of the suspects.

"We don't have a whole lot of information to share in regards to the descriptions of the suspects. What we do know is this: there were three black males in their twenties. Two of them had short dreadlock hair. One of them had short hair."

Kooistra says the robbery is similar to another incident that took place earlier this week in Sioux Falls. It's possible the two robberies may be connected.
