Chad Campbell of the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House says changes are coming to the Sioux Falls facility.

"We are going to focus on those guests who are working and those guests who are not working. We will create two separate programs. One of the programs will be a pay-for-stay program for the working guests. We will also have our emergency shelter for guests who do not have active employment or any active income source."

Campbell explains how the pay-for-stay program will work.

"It will be about 120 day program which will have a graduated fee---ranging from five dollars a night to ten dollars a night. The guests will be encouraged by our staff to seek out active apartments or other places to stay. For our other guests who are not in that program will be working with our advocates and talking about the options they have---creating a real tractable plan to take them from the homeless situation into a transitional living environment."

The changes at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House will begin May 2, 2016.
