Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says two assaults took place during the weekend in the city.

"On Friday night we had a couple of people that had some issues and bad blood between them. One group was going to meet a friend at the mall and pick him up when he got off work. The other person knew this. When they arrived at the mall about 9:15 PM on Friday, the suspect found the victim and ended up punching him through an open window with some brass knuckles. The victim had a few cuts to his head. As he drove away, the suspect broke out the victim's back window. We know who that person is but have not found him yet to make the arrest."

Clemens says another assault took place at a Sioux Falls bar.

"A couple of guys were playing pool together at Lucky's Bar in downtown Sioux Falls. That led to an argument.  Our suspect in that case hit the victim over the head with a pool cue a few times and then ran out of the business.  We were able to find him later that evening and arrest him for aggravated assault."

Clemens says the 24-year-old victim suffered a four inch cut in the back of his head.  The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Joseph Hart of Sioux Falls. Both men had been drinking.
