Sioux Falls Police Captain Greg VandeKamp says several Sioux Falls people were arrested Monday night in a South Dakota Avenue residence in connection with drugs.

"When officers arrived at the residence, they were able to talk to the people inside and other occupants in the house. During their investigation, they did locate a number of items of drug paraphernalia that had residue of meth on them. The occupants along with a couple of the visitors at that location were arrested for possession of those drugs. The children that were located were taken from the home and placed into custody."

VandeKamp says the Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force made multiple drug related arrests Monday night at a West 33rd Street residence.

"The task force has been working on an investigation that led to a search warrant at that location. Upon execution of the search warrant, they did locate a number of items relating to drug use and or distribution. In this case, a marijuana grow along with some meth. The occupants of the residence were arrested on a number of charges relating to obtaining a house where drugs are sold to possession of marijuana...felony as they were doing a grow---also possession of a controlled substance."

In all, Sioux Falls Police arrested four adults and three juveniles.
