Sioux Falls Police Officers were dispatched to 57th Street and Bahnson Avenue for a single vehicle that had rolled and was engulfed in flames late Tuesday night. When officers arrive on scene, they discovered an adult female had been thrown from the Honda and an adult male had been pulled out of the car's windows by a citizen.

The preliminary investigation showed the Honda has been traveling eastbound on East 57th Street at a high rate of speed when it went off the road, struck a traffic signal pole, rolled and started on fire.

Both occupants from the vehicle were transported from the scene by ambulance for serious injuries. It's is unknown at this time which occupant was driving the vehicle and if alcohol was a factor.

The investigation is ongoing.
