A possible fraud complaint from a homeowner about a contractor is being investigated by Sioux Falls Police.

Officer Sam Clemens says the homeowner told police he had hired the contractor to do roofing work.

Clemens says the man told police that when the job was done, he found he had been overcharged and had paid for materials that were not used.

Clemens says the complaint is being investigated and no charges have been filed.

He says the man told police he had been overcharged by more than $1,000.
