Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says authorities are trying to obtain information after a 19-year-old man was shot in the leg Tuesday night.

"We know the victim was shot. But, the driver of the car and the passenger who was shot have different details primarily where it took place," explained Clemens. "Other details like which window was down, whether it was the front window or back window and which window the suspect pointed a gun. We know the man was shot. It was nothing serious . He was treated at the hospital and released. We are still trying to work out some details of where it took place and if there is any connection between the shooter and the victim."

Clemens is asking the public's help as the investigation continues.

"This is a little unusual because we're not sure where it took place. If anybody heard a gunshot Tuesday night between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM we ask them to call police or Crime Stoppers.
