Police say a 17-year-old Sioux Falls girl already had outstanding warrants against her when she was arrested early Friday with a vehicle that had been reported stolen a few hours earlier.

Lieutenant Loren McManus says a man told police he had left his car running, with the keys in it, when he went into a convenience store in the 600 block of South Minnesota Avenue around 2:30 a.m. He came out to find his keys gone but the vehicle still there:

McManus says the girl was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, zero tolerance, underage consumption, false impersonation, driving without a valid driver's license and several outstanding warrants.

The vehicle was eastbound in the 2900 block of North Drive when the officer made the traffic stop just after 4:00 a.m.
