Sioux Falls Police are working around the clock in their search for 20-year-old murder suspect Jared Jerome Stone of Sioux Falls.

Stone is wanted in the shooting death of Baptiste WhiteEyes, 27, at the Lucky Lady Casino on the evening of Friday, April 22, 2016.

Police issued a warrant for Stone's arrest on Monday.

According to witnesses at the time of the crime they heard WhiteEyes ask Stone if he was going to take out a weapon during an altercation at the casino.

The affidavit then states, that Stone shot WhiteEyes in the face and then once again when he was down.

Someone close to Stone claims they received a text message from Stone around 7 p.m. on Friday, saying "I just killed someone I’m sorry." That same person attempted to call back Stone, but his phone was turned off.

According to the police affidavit, Stone is currently “dating” the mother of WhiteEye’s children.

Officials say that Stone left the scene of the shooting with Lachara Bordeaux, who is considered a person of interest in the case. Bordeaux isn't the only person authorities believe is helping Stone, that according to Lieutenant Dave McIntire with Sioux Falls Police Department.

McIntire said, "We will be taking a hard look at anybody who gave him assistance in this matter.”

Police ask that the public remain cautious in regards to Stone. "Anytime you have a homicide suspect who has not been brought into custody, there is a danger," according to Lt. McIntire.

The PD has received numerous tips and leads from the public since Friday.

McIntire is hopeful that Stone will soon decide to turn himself in.

This is the fourth homicide in Sioux Falls so far in 2016.
