A man who fought with two family members and three Sioux Falls police officers wound up going to jail on a long list of charges Wednesday morning.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says police were called just after 7:00 am to the 3200 block of North Lewis Avenue, where the suspect was staying with his mother, sister and several younger family members.

Clemens says the suspect became upset for some reason and went to leave, but he  returned, locked the doors and said no one could leave.

Clemens says 31-year-old Rocky Thomas Traversie Junior was jailed on three counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement, five counts of kidnapping and two counts of domestic aggravated assault.

The three injured officers were taken to hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. and Clemens says the injuries to the suspect's mother and sister were not life-threatening.
