Sioux Falls Man Hit with Pepper Spray During Robbery

A Sioux Falls man says he was robbed by two acquaintances Wednesday evening as he walked in the 1800 block of South Minnesota Avenue.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says the 18-year-old man told police it happened around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

"He said he met up with two people he knows and they ended up threatening him with some mace and demanded his money. Once he gave them the cash they sprayed him anyway and took his cell phone and ran away."

Clemens says the victim gave police the names of the two suspects, but they were not located.

The man did not require medical treatment.
